This Smartparking model is based on the cooperation of two professial figures very popular and important for daytime general street activities and present in the urban context of both ancient and modern cities of the western emisphere: housekeepers and property managers. Hence the HKPM acronym. This operational model is being registered at the Patent Office of Industry Ministery in Rome.
Housekeepers role is to place a special GPS reciver, modified with an addditional bright red led, in a location very close to a free lot. The device position is registred by a software platform (or mobile phone] at housekeeper care. Common Properety Managers role is explained later in this document. When the free lot is detected by the app in the hands of a driver, he sends throuhg the app a message to the housekeeper who activate manually the red led on the GPS device. This activates for the related lot the “reserved statrus, registered also on the central plaform. . No other driver member of the associatinon is allowed to occupy the lot. If such violation occours, the responsible is fined as stated in th Association regulatory act signed by members at association time.
If a GPS device is stolen, the same may be easily located and recuperated and the robber persecuted. by Italian Police.
The housekeepers, the property managers, the citizen associated to the Association form a community who cooperates in he sytem operative functioning of the model.
No direct compensation is given not to housekeeper nor to Adminitsrators. The association will arrange for family benefict as summer vacation, university grants and similar incentives. In the spirit of a social iniciative and mood.
The role of property Managers became clearer in the second phase of the project. It consists in installing web cameras in the highest flat of front building to control all the front slot ribbon, parallel to the front walkside.
